GENERAL MANAGER

Trevor Sprague

Trevor played hockey in PGMHA until the age of sixteen.  After that he began his coaching career, which has now spanned a few decades.  Trevor has been involved in every level of hockey, from atoms all the way up to WHL.  He has been involved with BC Hockey’s U15, U16, and U17 programs and Program of Excellence throughout the years.  Trevor began working with the Cariboo Cougars Major Midget Team when they were in their inaugural season of 2004.  He came back again in 2008 as Head Coach, and now has been holding the position of General Manager for the past 6 seasons.  He currently holds the position of Northern Development Scout with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL.
Trevor is the General Manager of Cariboo Hockey, which includes the Cariboo Cougars MML, the Northern Capitals FMML, the Cariboo Cougars Minor Midget, the Cariboo Cougars Major Bantam, and the two North Central Zone teams - Midget and Bantam.  His passion is developing good people and competitive hockey in the North.
Trevor is supported by his amazing staff - there is an incredible team of people that make the Cariboo Hockey Organization what it is.  Outside of the rink, Trevor has the dedicated support of his wife Jessie and daughters Julianne and Katherine.

HEAD COACH

Tyler Brough

Tyler was born in Ft St John, BC, and grew up and played Minor Hockey in Grande Prairie AB. He is supported by his wife Erica, daughter Kennedy, & son Hudson. He is employed at CN rail as a Journeyman Electrician. 
Tyler played 3 years with the PG Cougars of the WHL.  Highlight of Tyler's career was  playing one season with Fort Mac Oil Barons of the AJHL; they won the AJHL, Doyle Cup, and Royal Bank Cup in 2000.  Tyler was fortunate enough to score the game winning goal in the final and have his stick and gloves put in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. 
Tyler played 12 years of Senior AAA hockey with the Grande Prairie Athletics, Horse Lake Thunder and Ft St John Flyers winning the Allan Cup with the Flyers in 2010 and going to the Allan Cup in 2005 with the Thunder and 2013 with the Flyers. 
Tyler began coaching with the PGMHA at the Bantam Tier 2 level and onto the Tier 1 team before joining the Cariboo Cougars in 2015 as an Assistant Coach, and taking over the Head Coach position in 2017.

ASSISTANT COACH

RJay Berra

RJay is entering his third season with the Cariboo Cougars as an assistant coach and is currently a member of the PGSS Hockey program as a teacher and skills coach. He also enters his fourth season as a scout for the Prince George Spruce Kings. Before joining Cariboo RJay was the co head coach of the Mideget Tier 1 provincial champion team after finishing up his playing days in Europe for the Edinburgh Capitals. RJay grew up playing his minor hockey in Prince George including one season with the Cariboo Cougars in which they won the BC Provincial championship. After Cariboo RJay played parts of four seasons with the BCHL Prince George Spruce Kings and half a season with the AJHL Grande Prairie Storm. After Junior hockey RJay played four seasons of NCAA hockey split between Oswego State and Marian University before playing one season of professional hockey in the United Kingdoms EIHL. RJay’s work with the Cariboo Cougars is supported at home by his wife Jesslyn and baby daughter Lola.

Jordan Duncan

Jordan is in his first year with the team. He played minor hockey in Prince George and with the Cariboo Cougars before going to UNBC. Jordan graduated from UNBC in 2016 and now works in commercial banking. Outside of the rink Jordan enjoys spending time with his friends, family and his fiancé, Brooklynn and their French Bulldog, Ben.

Lyman Miller

Lyman Miller has been with the Cariboo Cougars for 3 seasons as our Goalie Coach.  He is an alumni Prince George Spruce King.

TRAINER

Pam Solmonson

Pam graduated with a Human Kinetics Diploma from College of New Caledonia, and has also taken kinesiology at the University of Calgary. She was born and raised in Prince George. Currently working at Krell Wellness Center. This will be her 18th season as a trainer for hockey.

She has worked with all age groups ranging from atoms, up to the Western Hockey League level. She’s also participated in three BC Cup’s and eight U16’s between BC and Alberta. She won gold with the World Jr A Challenge in 2017 with Team Canada West and a silver witg Team BC U16's at the Western Branch Challenge in 2013. Has been with Cariboo Cougars the last 3 seasons and with the Prince George Spruce the 2 seasons before. Over the years have worked as a trainer for baseball, football, soccer, and many other sports. Also refs soccer during the off times.

Jas Brar

Jas Brar is the Equipment Manager for the Cariboo Cougars. This will be his 4th season with the team. Jas works at Prince George Driving School as a full time driving instructor while also attending UNBC to pursue his Bachelors of Commerce degree. During his free time he plays rec hockey, baseball and golf.
